You came into this world with such trauma and worry, but I realize this worry isn’t going to leave me. Worry that you’ll be safe when I leave you, worry that I’m doing everything right as your mother. Worry that you’re developing the best that you can… worry..
Every time you prove that you are so incredibly independent I smile and my worries fade.
This past year my dear baby girl you have blossomed into an amazing toddler. I’ve watched you learn how to form your words into sentences like “I DO IT MYSELF MOMMY” or “I LOVE YOU TOO MOMMY”. You make me smile even when you have tantrums because you are just so beautiful.
You’re very strong willed and you do things very much on your own, we’re teaching you that asking for help is a good thing and that you should always try again even if you can’t do it the first time. You are determined to have fun, you love to laugh and play. If someone is crying you offer them your kindness and hugs.
I watch you play with your friends with great fondness and we’re working on teaching you how to share a little better ;o)
YOU are an amazing baby girl and I hope that you’ll know just how much you are loved. When you look back and read this years from now, know that you mean the world to your father and I.
