One of the hardest things to find besides dish-washing detergent has been laundry detergent.
I was appalled at all the toxins in both of these products that I was using. Even ones that claim they are ‘Eco’ friendly because they don’t have phosphates or parabens, but yet have other toxins. You really have to read the ingredients and research each ingredient you don’t know.
After looking at literally hundreds of websites and products, even well known said-to-be safe product/companies were in violation of the no toxins, I found a shining example, Laundry Tarts.
They have the yummiest smelling, natural laundry soap I could find or have ever heard of. They are completely biodegradable, hypoallergenic, 100% vegan and free of phosphates, EDTA, phthalates, parabens, SLS, SLES, nitrates, sulphites and chlorine!
Who wouldn’t love a product that comes in many different flavors that is right I said flavors (don’t actually eat it though, the soap just smells that good). Here is their menu of scents; Apple Pie, Banana Bread, Birthday Cake, Bubble Gum, Black Forest Cake, Key Lime Pie, Pina Colada, Rootbeer Float, Strawberry Shortcake, and for the non-scent Plain Jane.
I tried out samples of Birthday Cake (Smells like yummie vanilla), Bubble gum, Rootbeer Float and Apple Pie. I really can’t choose which one I love best out of them.
I purchased a bunch of samples from ‘the cloth diaper shop’ an online store that I purchased all my cloth diapers from when Sophia was born. I also purchased their sweet spot stain remover bar (which I have yet to use).
They have a spot remover, strip it, deodorizing powder and a newly launched product, Tubler Tart Dryer Balls (I can’t wait to get an order in for these).
I have used up almost all of my samples and I just love how clean and fresh my laundry is. I was surprised that the soap smells but my clothes aren’t left with an overwhelming scent at all. In fact, it is very faint. What I loved is how clean they came out using the cold water setting in my HE washing machine. I was afraid there might be some residue left on the clothing or they wouldn’t be clean. It was the complete opposite, I don’t think I’ve ever had such clean cloths in a long time!
I am so happy I found this company, I ‘heart’ them.
